• Payment is due on completion of the work (laying of last coat). If work is done in stages, payment is due on the completion of each stage.
  • Mobile Floor Services does not dispose of carpets, tiles, vinyl, parquetry, SAWDUST, etc. unless previously arranged and at an extra charge.
  • Floors that Mobile Floor Services have fully sanded and sealed will have a minimum of 3 coats of sealer. If another coat is requested it is supplied at extra charge to you the client.
  • We DO NOT replace floor boards. All maintenance work (e.g. replace boards, re-stumping, etc.) must be completed before we commence sanding. If we commence a job and discover the floor is in an unsatisfactory condition to complete the sanding and sealing, work done up to this point must be paid for.
  • All quotes are valid for 4 months.
  • The removal of furniture from areas that are to be sanded shall be done by the clients themselves. We take no responsibility for damages caused by vibration from hammering or sanding, for example ornaments vibrating off cabinets, etc.
  • PUTTYING ALL THE GAPS BETWEEN EVERY FLOOR BOARD IS NOT A STANDARD PRACTISE AND INCURS AN ADDITIONAL CHARGE.
  • It is not standard practice for this company to remove and replace skirting boards or quad. PLEASE NOTE THAT DURING THE SANDING PROCESS OUR MACHINERY CAN MARK THE SKIRTING BOARDS, SO FOR YOUR OWN PROTECTION, YOU CAN REMOVE THEM.
  • We can not guarantee that stains such as water or fat, etc. will be removed during our sanding process. The floor sander will not know if these stains will come out or lighten up until the floor has been sanded and sometimes until the first coat sealer has been applied. Please note also that staining the floor will not cover these marks and may even cause them to stand out more.
  • Mobile Floor Services sanding machines are dustless, however, during the sanding and buffing process, some fine dust can be generated and could move through the house and settle on furniture, clothes, etc.
  • Please note, when choosing a stain colour, that wood is a natural product and variation in the degree of shading from the stain is possible. No stained floor will be the same as the colour chart. Once you have chosen your stain WE TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY COLOUR VARIATIONS ONCE APPLIED TO THE FLOOR.
  • When staining we advise all clients to be present to choose colour of their liking as our opinion in applying the colour may not be to client satisfaction.
  • Although all care is taken we do not take responsibility for pre-existing rotted floorboards or skirting boards, uneven floor levels, damp proofing on concrete floors or any faulty materials when supplied by customer.
  • Price for sanding and polishing does not include preparation work e.g. pulling up carpet, removing vinyl, staples, etc. All preparatory work is done at additional price.
  • When dealing with old floors, although we take due care, we do not take responsibility for the splitting of timber or splinters occurring after the floor sanding is finished. Due to properties of the timber, we have no way of preventing such accidents. We advise to wear footwear at all times to prevent the above-mentioned.
  • Parquetry floors, being timber, are subject to variation in colour and grain.
  • Slight shrinking and expansion can occur due to climatic, heating changes.
  • Floor & parquetry sanding is not going to be as smooth and dust free as cabinetmaking or similar pre-finished work, as it is not possible to achieve a dust free environment.
  • Although we take precautions, it is the duty of the builder/owner to make sure there is no lateral damp, rising damp and any other bridging of damp proof
